Class 1 Night Drivers

Job Overview

• Type of Work: Fridge work, primarily transporting fruit, vegetables, and frozen goods for UK contracts.

• Vehicles: Right-Hand Drive (RHD) DAF 106 trucks (new 2024 models), equipped with air conditioning, fridges, and inverters.

• Work Location: Primarily based in Harwich CO12 area.

Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate should:
• Have strong English language skills with excellent communication.
• Be able to make decisions under pressure and stay organised.
• Be flexible, reliable, and familiar with HGV safety and driving regulations.

Requirements

• Class 1 Licence: Must have held the licence for at least 1 year.

• Age: Must be 25 years or older.

• Licence Points: No more than 6 points on the licence. Endorsements such as DD, IN, DR, TT99, and CD are not accepted, but please contact us if you have any concerns about points or codes.

• Other Qualifications:
o Digital Tacho card.
o Driver CPC.
o Good understanding of HGV/LGV working hours, breaks, and safety regulations.
o Experience driving Left-Hand Drive (LHD) vehicles is a plus if interested in such contracts.

Pay and Hours
• Rates: Hourly pay, with premium rates for night shifts and certain types of deliveries. Contact us for detailed rate information.

• Working Hours: You may be expected to work the maximum allowable hours per week, with both day and night shifts available.

• Payment Method: Drivers are paid via an Ltd or umbrella company.
