Role Overview:
We are looking to hire two dedicated Transport Debriefers to join our team in Lutterworth. These roles are critical in ensuring the smooth running of our transport operations, by managing driver briefings, monitoring vehicle compliance, and addressing day-to-day transport activities. As a Transport Debriefer, you will work closely with the Transport Manager and various departments to ensure efficient, safe, and legally compliant transport services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough driver briefings and debriefings, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational protocols, including the proper use of TomTom devices.
• Verify that all vehicles and trailers meet legal roadworthiness standards, and ensure drivers are equipped with the required PPE and documentation.
• Prepare and manage run sheets for day and night shifts, and oversee the execution of the transport plan using the TMS (Transport Management System).
• Promptly report any operational issues, such as driver absences or vehicle breakdowns, to the Transport Manager.
• Perform daily yard checks and vehicle spot checks, reporting any damages or defects.
• Provide detailed shift handovers to ensure smooth continuity of operations.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with drivers and internal teams.
• Hands-on experience with TMS (Transport Management System) and monitoring transport operations.
• Ability to manage unexpected situations such as vehicle breakdowns and no-shows, while maintaining a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
• Strong understanding of legal compliance in transport operations, with a commitment to upholding safety and operational standards.
